Description
The cornfield annuals wildflower mix creates an attractive splash of colour within a few months after sowing. The mix can be sown in the spring and will germinate, flower and set-seed all in one year. Alternatively, the cornfield annuals wildflower mix can be sown in the autumn and will flower the following spring and summer. The cornfield annuals wildflower mix can be sown on it’s own or can be used as a nursery crop for any of the perennial mixes to add colour while the perennial plants are establishing.

Where to use
The Cornfield annuals wildflower mix can be used on all reasonably well-drained soils and is suitable for soils with higher fertility than most perennial wildflower mixes.

When to use
Annual wildflower seeds can be sown either in the autumn (October-November) or spring (late March-May). Spring sowing is usually considered the best time to sow annual wildflower seed if the ground is likely to be waterlogged over the winter.

Management & Aftercare
Cornfield annuals need disturbed ground to stimulate germination of fallen seed. After flowering leave plants long enough for seeds to drop. Preferably wait until the spring before cultivating the ground to avoid leaving bare soil over winter. Cultivating the soil may stimulate growth of fallen seed but it may be necessary to supplement with further sowing in subsequent years.

Delivery & Returns
Any applicable delivery charges will be calculated at checkout. Certain products qualify for next working day delivery if ordered before 1pm, excluding bank holidays and the festive season. Please be aware that deliveries to remote areas, including the Highlands and Cornwall, may take longer. Additional charges apply for non-mainland locations — please contact the office for further details, or you can learn more about our delivery options here.
A signature is required upon delivery. If no one is available, you can leave a signed note for the driver requesting the parcel be left in a secure location without a signature. However, please be aware that this is done at your own risk and is subject to the driver's discretion.
For large orders, please be aware that if you require a smaller 7.5 tonne lorry, the maximum weight for pallets is 750kg - otherwise the standard pallet size limit of 1000kg applies.
Please note for deliveries that require a pallet, the pallet/packaging itself is the customer's responsibility and will not be uplifted or taken upon delivery.
